Peri Peri Chicken Meatloaf

This is a great way to spice up chicken meat loaf. Peri Peri is a Portuguese grilling sauce that complements chicken, it's spicy and flavourful.

  • 1 cup Bread crumbs
  • 2 ribs Celery Chopped
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped
  • 2 large Eggs Lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup Peri Peri Grilling Sauce Available at most grocery stores
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper Coarse Ground
  • 1 cup Feta Cheese Crumbled, divided
  • 1 pound Ground Chicken Orange Door Acres Ground Chicken
  • 6 Strips Bacon


  • 1/4 cup Peri Peri Grilling Sauce
  • 4 tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 4 tsp Honey


  • Preheat oven to 375°
  • In a large mixing bowl combine the first 7 ingredients thoroughly, gently fold in the Feta cheese. Add the ground chicken, mix lightly but thoroughly.
  • Form an 8 x 4 inch loaf in a 9 x 13 lasagna pan. Cover with bacon
  • For the glaze, mix the Peri Peri sauce, Dijon mustard and honey in a small bowl and brush over meat loaf
  • Bake 45 minutes or until the internal temperature is 165°
  • Add remaining Feta cheese, cover and let stand for 10 minutes before serving
